Generations ago our great grandfather, Domingo Gaia Tossi, inspired by a Italian method from the 19th century, invented a unique processing technique. The appearance and fragrance of our vanilla is unequalled to any other due to our unique drying process.
Our green vanilla pods are hand-picked and placed in sacks and introduced into kilns for a determined period of time curing the bean while killing the silk worm.
Once the vanilla pods have been cured, they are classified for size, bundled into packs of 60 to 100,wraped in wax paper and boxed.
We at Gaya are extremely careful when it comes to the quality of our vanilla bean. Each pod is closely checked to assure its highest standard of quality. More than a hundred years of experience backs every vanilla bean marked “Gaya”.
